How often should I practice Breathwork?
“How often should I practice Breathwork” is a question I get asked quite regularly. I encourage my clients to practice the Breathwork technique at home, on their own, either every day OR when they feel called to. The only caveat I have is that the sessions are kept to shorter practices of up 15 - 20 minutes.
These shorter sessions can be really helpful to do when you are feeling stuck or pressured. You may simply need to shift the stress of the day, or if you have some emotions you haven’t been able to feel until you stop and breathe. I recommend keeping those longer sessions for when you are looking to go deeper, need to find clarity or need to move through an old story or pattern that’s come to your awareness.
Time to go deeper.
And when you want to go really deep and move that hidden energetic material, being guided with a facilitator is ideal. For those Breathwork sessions, it’s good to talk to your facilitator about what you need, but I recommend attending fortnightly or monthly sessions until you find resolution and peace within. From there it’s beneficial to continue experiencing Breathwork when you can feel an old story being triggered or you are ready to explore and release the next layer of what your body is holding. I am a huge supporter of the concept that only you heal you, so I encourage my clients to be empowered and book in, when they are ready to do that.
At home Breathwork Meditations.
I have created some short daily practices, to be used at home. There is a mix of free and paid meditations where you can use the breath, available here.
And if you are needing support to shift that hidden energetic material, to open yourself up to more self-awareness and inner wisdom, bookings for Individual Breathwork sessions, both face to face and online, can be made here.
Love to assist you in your journey back to your heart with the breath. 💜
Blessings,
Shanie.
